Attention All Redcatchers
During the 2018 annual business meeting held at Branson Missouri, the membership voted to raise $3500.00 the funds necessary to purchase a 199th (Redcatcher) Unit Tribute for placement at the National Museum of the United States Army currently being constructed on the grounds of Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
The Unit Tribute will be 12" by 18", made of polished black granite, set in cement in a vertical position with our colored patch and proper identification verbiage. When finished it will be placed along what will be called the Pathway of Remembrance.
The museum will be opened in two years and will serve as a National Landmark. It will provide a place for soldiers and Army Veterans to reflect on their own time in uniform and connect with fellow soldiers across generations.
The Officers of the Association are asking all Redcatchers to consider making a small donation in accordance with the following procedure. Send your donation by check payable to:
199th LIB Association Inc.
% Bob Cusick, Treasurer
280 Mohawk Trail
We are hoping that all Redcatchers will take part and make a small donation towards our goal of $3500.00 and help bring this project to a successful conclusion and allow all Redcatchers to be part in the recognition and remembrance of the 199th Infantry Brigade and the roll we played in the Vietnam War.
