The National Infantry Museum display of Major General Davison's belongings features a Colt pistol, a pair of field glasses captured from a North Vietnamese officer and a utility shirt Davison wore while in command of the 8th U.S. Infantry Division in Germany.
According to the museum curator, Maj. Gen. Davison's donation is important because "any time you deal with a unique person that has great influence on our military it's important to have his items here for our soldiers to see and reflect on how far we have come as a nation."
